I love to run! I used to be a long distance runner at heart but now I don’t have the time and while I still love running (every now and then fit in a ‘long’ run) I focus on incorporating intervals and total body circuits with my running. This HIIT Treadmill Circuit is an awesome way to get my running fix, my strength fix, and my need to sweat! The best part you don’t have to have any equipment – you can use a treadmill, go to a track, or just get outside!
Make sure you look closely – that isn’t a 5 mile warm up 🙂 it is a .5 mile warm up and .25 run sprints in the HIIT Treadmill Workout…silly graphic doesn’t show the . DOT to well…don’t want anyone killing themselves!
Beginner option – If you are new to interval training or just beginning your fitness journey…switch out run portions for walking at your fastest pace. The important part is that the cardio .25 sections are at YOUR fastest pace. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a run.
Option for all – though I love to run this circuit can be swapped out for any cardio activity, try biking or rowing in place of running for a fun swap!
